LEAP: A Heat Cost Assistance Program
LEAP in Denver is a wonderful program designed to pay a portion of your heat bill, one-time during the winter season.  LEAP, also known as LiEAP, also provides emergency assistance when a family receives a shut-off notice or when heat has already been shut-off.

Households that qualify can receive anywhere from $350-$900 that goes directly towards paying your heat bill.  The amount received is dependent on the cost of the heat bill, the number of people living in your home, and income.

LEAP in Denver County began accepting applications October 1, but assistance is not granted until after November 1.  The last day to apply is April 30, 2009.
