Better Buildings Denver

Mayor Hancock has accepted President Obama’s Better Buildings Challenge, committing the City and County of Denver to reduce energy use 20 percent by 2020 across its building portfolio, which totals more than seven million square feet. Creating and implementing programs designed to improve efficiencies in Denver’s building sector is a focal point for the City of Denver’s Office of Sustainability, Greenprint Denver, and its municipal and community partners. Placing a substantial emphasis on the built environment provides Denver the highest return-on-investment in addressing climate change and in creating an environmentally and economically sustainable world-class city where everyone matters.

Better Buildings Denver includes several programs designed to help Denver’s commercial sector and residents achieve cost reductions and high performance, and to conserve use of natural resources.  So find your fit and sign up today!  Seminars are planned for each program to help you learn more about what the City of Denver can offer you and your business to guide your path towards economic and environmental sustainability.

Better Building Denver Programs & Seminar Dates

Open to all Denver Metro area hotels and office buildings with 5,000 square feet or more, Watts-to-Water is a recognition program that showcases high performance buildings and offers participants free educational sessions, technical support and rebate information to inform office and hotel properties how they can be more sustainable, both environmentally and economically.
