2006 Bonus Plan
|
As of part of Career Service Authority’s strategic plan for the long term compensation plan, CSA developed a bonus incentive program. The intent of the bonus incentive program is to motivate employees and reward them for delivering cost savings, enhancing revenues, increasing productivity, improving operating efficiencies, enhancing service delivery, or any similar objective measure of performance or productivity. The Bonus or incentive plans will allow employees the opportunity to be recognized for their contributions at agency/department, division/unit or individual levels.
On May 31, 2005 an Ordinance was passed by City Council and signed by the Mayor on June 1, 2005, which enabled the city to make bonus payments for outstanding performance by employees according to standards and procedures established by ordinance. D. R. M. C. 18-804(a)
Each year the department must submit their bonus plan to the Mayor and CSA Personnel Director for written approval. If approved, the plan will be effective on January 1st of each fiscal year. The plan must make the allocated bonus amount available to ALL employees in each department/agency and must include objective criteria for employees to earn incentive pay within the targeted fiscal year. The bonus/incentive payment(s) will typically be paid at the end of the year if all of the provisions of the ordinance are met.
