Windows Users:
You can access 3-1-1 Self Service using Microsoft Internet
Explorer (version 5.5 or higher). Your browser must have 128-bit
security encryption enabled.
Enabling SSL on Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.0
- Click
Tools, and select Internet Options on the Internet Explorer
menu bar.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Scroll down to the Security section.
- Click to check mark
the boxes for SSL 2.0 and SSL 3.0. NOTE: If these boxes
are already checked, close the window to leave SSL enabled,
or
click to remove the checkmark
if you want to disable SSL.
- Click OK.
We recommend that you use Microsoft Internet Explorer
(version 5.5 or higher).
MAC Users:
Due to the manner in which various browsers handle secure
connections over the Internet, you may encounter difficulty
when trying to access 3-1-1 Self Service, depending upon the
version of Netscape, Microsoft Internet Explorer, AOL, and
other browsers that you may be using.
Enabling Cookies:
The 3-1-1 Self Service application requires cookies to be
enabled. Please enable cookies, and retry this application.
A Cookie is used by this application to maintain a "session" with
you, and is deleted when the browser is closed. No personal
information is stored in cookies unless explicitly approved
by you.
Enabling cookies involves an adjustment to your browser settings.
Follow these directions to enable cookies on the browsers listed
below, depending upon your computer operating system (i.e.
PC USERS or MAC USERS):
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0:
- On the Tools menu, click
Internet Options.
- Click the Privacy tab, and in Setting
section click the Advanced button.
- Click Custom Level or
change the security level; the Security Settings
window is checked
- Check the "Always allow session cookies";
Click the 'OK' button.
- Click the 'OK' button on the Internet
Options window.
- Close all Explorer windows, than restart
Internet Explorer.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0:
- On the Tools menu, click
Internet Options.
- Click the Security tab and select the
Internet Web content zone.
- Click Custom Level or change
the security level; the Security Settings window is accessed.
- Scroll
down to "Cookies" and "Allow Per Session
Cookies (not stored)", and click 'Enable' for
both options.
- Click OK; cookies are enabled.
- Click here; the 'Search'
screen is accessed. Proceed with the sign in procedure.
