Named for William N. Byers, founder of the Rocky Mountain News. Built in Spanish eclectic style in 1918 by Varian and Varian as a single room library with fireplace and vaulted ceiling. See 1975 Hispanic history mural by Carlota Espinosa. Renovated in 1982 by Stanely Pouw Associates.
