SPEER BOULEVARD

Mayor Speer hired George Kessler in 1907 to design the key diagonal, tree-lined boulevard that follows Cherry Creek as part of Denver’s Park and Parkway plan. Subsequently enhanced and expanded by architects Saco R. DeBoer and Paul Foster.
