Licensing your pet is very important, and you can do this easily online or by mail --by mail  just send in your current rabies certificate and a check payable to  Manager of Finance  for the cost of the license.

**Free license for Senior Citizens (65 years or older) OR  Service dogs are NOT currently available online **
 
Seniors please mail in your current rabies certificate and a  copy of your drivers license or ID for proof of age. 

For service pets please mail in your current rabies certificate and a  copy of your pets documentation for a service dog.

Vaccination Days / Hours:
Every Wednesday and Thursday unless otherwise posted
  • Wednesday's for  Dogs from 2:30 pm to 4:45 pm.
  • Thursday's for Cats from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. 
  • Cost: $20 (includes rabies, distemper/parvo) and a one year license for Denver County residents or out of county residents that use Denver dog parks).

 Microchip your pet! Minimize
License your pet and make sure it wears a collar with his/her tags at all times.
 

Microchip your cat for FREE every Thursday 3:30 pm  - 4:30 pm. No appointment necessary, b
ring your cat in a box or carrier.  You must live in one of the six county metro districts Offer ends September 24, 2009.

Adams County, Arapahoe County, Broomfield, Denver County, Douglas County and Jefferson County
   
 
 
 
Denver Animal Care and Control will microchip your dog or cat for $25.  Your pet must be over two pounds (2lbs) to receive a microchip
 
You do not have to be a Denver County resident, we want to ensure if any pet gets lost it will be returned back to the owner. 
 
A microchip identification implant can identify your pet if it loses its collar. Most shelters can scan pets for this type of ID, and your contact information is kept on a shared registry
