FILING A BUSINESS PERSONAL PROPERTY DECLARATION ONLINE
Business personal property declarations can be filed online. The filing deadline is April 17. If your company has filed a complete asset listing in a prior year (either online or with a regular paper declaration form), you now only need to declare any additions (any new assets acquired from January 1, 2011, through December 31, 2011), and any deletions (assets which you no longer own). Please do not file both an online declaration and a paper declaration, or your assessment could be too high! Please file EITHER an online declaration OR a paper declaration, but do not file both.
If you will be declaring deletions (assets that you want us to remove from your assessment because you no longer own them), please be sure you delete them from the proper line (year and asset category) on the following pages.
After you file your online declaration, you will see a screen which summarizes the information you have submitted. You can print out that screen for your files.
If your company is large, with many assets (such as a leasing company, a large manufacturing or retail business, etc), it may not be convenient for you to list all your asset information in our online declaration form. However, we have a separate e-mail attachment filing method which many large companies have used successfully. For information on this other automated filing method, please call (720) 913-4067, or e-mail
marijane.jones@denvergov.org .
This filing option is unavailable from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Monday through Friday.
