Child Care Assistance

Do you need help paying for child care? We might be able to help! The Denver County Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) helps families who qualify pay for child care for infants to children age 13 and special needs youth up to age 19. 

Parents who meet the following guidelines, may qualify for Denver CCAP.

  • Must live in Denver (if you live in another county, please apply in the county where you reside)
  • Address Verification
  • Photo ID for Parents
  • Certified copy of child’s birth certificate or other documents proving lawful presence in the U.S.
  • Proof of Household Income (including, but not limited to, pay stubs, child support and unemployment documentation)

Please note: Eligible families may have to pay some of their child care costs to participate in the program. The family fee is based on income and the type of child care provider selected to care for a child. Parents must also provide this documentation when applying for assistance:


There are a variety of ways to apply for Denver CCAP. 

  1. Download an application, fill it out and mail or fax it to us
  2. Pick up an application and fill it out and drop it into the onsite CCAP Drop Box (1200 Federal Blvd.)
  3. Visit our office and meet one-on-one with an application specialist to determine if you qualify (1200 Federal Blvd.)

Note: If you live in another county, you must apply in the county where you reside.
