Function: The Board is the central human resources agency for Career Service employees and are responsible for fostering and maintaining a merit-based personnel system for career service employees.   The Board is responsible for recruitment, examination and certification of applicants for employment and promotions in the Career Service Authority, appoints administrative officers to hear and decide personnel matters of the City and County of Denver employees.  They also hear appeals of the hearings Officers and are responsible for determining the classification and pay plan for City jobs (except for Mayoral appointees and sworn positions in the Police and Fire departments and management ranks in the Sheriff's department).  They are also responsible for administering pay and benefits, terms and conditions of employment, job classifications, employee conduct, and any other rules necessary to maintain a merit-based personnel system. 

Qualifications: City and County of Denver current employees may not serve on this board.
Meets: Twice monthly - first and third Thursday at 9 a.m., at 201 West Colfax Avenue, Rooms 4.F.6 and 4.G.2.
