Function:
The commission is responsible for the recruitment and examination of police and Firemen; supervision of the two departments; conduct tests for acceptance and promotion; holds appeal hearings on disciplinary actions.
Qualifications: Appointed by Mayor
Meets: Monthly on the second and fourth Fridays at 8:30 a.m. at the Welllington Webb Building, 7th Floor Civil Service Commission Office.
