 Professional Development Programs Minimize
The City's professional development programs are intended to help its develop key skills and competencies for successful performance. The knowledge, skills and abilities gained from these training programs will help employees prepare for career advancement as employees, supervisors, managers and City leaders.
The program listings range from career development and assessment to leadership and management development.
 
A training program designed to support career and skill development for employees working in office, support, clerical, secretarial, administrative and executive assistant positions (occupational group C). 
  
Growth Opportunities and Leadership for Supervisors (GOALS) Please Note: This program is on hold until further notice.
A competency-based training program that provides current supervisors applicable skills and techniques to better manage the performance and productivity of their work units.
 
Leadership Enhancement and Development (LEAD) Please Note: This program is on hold until further notice.
A designed exclusively program is designed exclusively for executive leaders, managers and appointees to develop and enhance leadership skills and competencies needed to become effective leaders.
 
A program designed exclusively for employees who are interested in pursing supervision.
 
A set of courses that thoroughly explore the issues of supervision and management and the skills required to be successful.
