Rob Moody
Senior Human Resources Professional

Rob has over 20 years of experience in the areas of management and human resource development, especially in not-for-profit and public sector settings.  He has extensive expertise as a classroom instructor, facilitator, consultant, and project manager of organization and management development initiatives. 
 
In addition to presenting seminars, he has coached individuals in workplace issues, and work groups in their team development efforts.  His efforts also include work in executive leadership, organizational communication, and change management.  Rob has been a featured speaker and facilitator for numerous professional associations.  He has served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Colorado, and Metropolitan State College, as well as Red Rocks, Arapahoe, and Front Range Community Colleges.  
 
Mr. Moody holds a Master's Degree in Management and Development of Human Resources and a B.S. Degree in Education. 
 


Melody Soell
Senior Human Resources Professional

Melody is a "recovering IT instructor" and former professional speaker, trainer and humorist.  She now "info-tains" Denver's city employees in topics ranging from New Employee Orientation to domestic violence.  Melody is the Co-Program Manager for the LEAD Program (along with her coworker Rob Moody). 

An animated speaker and natural storyteller who loves to laugh, Melody draws upon her real-life workplace experiences to help others learn and be successful in their jobs with the City.  She has also facilitated for the World of Difference program for the Anti-Defamation League which was an anti-bias program for schools, teachers and parents. 
 
Melody has worked in various city departments including the "ole" Denver General Hospital, Excise and License and Denver Human Services in a training capacity involving both HR and IT programs.  While she was on sabbatical from the city, in her own business she trained for US West, the Federal Prison system, Rose Hospital, USDA Graduate School in such topics as Humor for the Workplace, Customer Service, Communication and Listening Skills, Presentation Delivery and Menopause.  As you can tell, keeping her sense of humor is vital to Ms. Soell…and her teaching.


Marcia Cunningham
Human Resource Supervisor

With twenty-five years of leadership and training experience in a wide variety of organizational settings, Marcia began her career with the City & County of Denver in 1990 as the Training Director for Denver's Department of Health & Hospitals.  She has contributed to other areas of Human Resource Management including classification, recruitment, and employee relations. 
 
Focused on and committed to creating opportunities for employee development and organizational success, this Denver native gets a big kick out of working for the City & County of Denver, appreciating the opportunity to give back to her community.  Completely dedicated to doing the best job possible for employees at all levels of the City & County of Denver, Marcia's passion and enthusiasm are contagious.  As CSA's Training Team Lead, Ms. Cunningham welcomes and embraces every opportunity to encourage and support the success of others.
 

 
David Pickart
Senior Human Resources Professional

A former secondary school teacher, Mr. Pickart developed the computer training program for Career Service Authority.  He is responsible for teaching MS Office and in house applications.   His responsibilities also include the online training program (SPOT) where he has been a featured speaker on the subject. 
 
He began his career with the City in the mid-90's at Denver General Hospital and then moved to Denver County Court.  He draws upon his previous experience when instructing users and also never forgets how he learned the applications himself.  He loves the opportunity to help employees improve performance and achieve their goals.  David holds two master's degrees; one in Business Administration and a second one in IT Management. 
 


Richard DelValle
Training Coordinator/ Human Resource Technician

With ten years of Human Resources and training experience, Richard comes to the City and County of Denver with a passion to instruct. He is responsible for teaching Generations Training, Zero Tolerance: Preventing Harassment, Workplace Violence and Bullying, and Crucial Conversations.
 
Richard began his career with local non-profits as the Outreach and Training specialist, and draws upon previous experience to facilitate instructional design and delivery. Richard holds his Bachelors Degree in International Business with a minor in Operations Management.
 


Andi Blaustein
Associate Human Resources Professional

With over twelve years experience training experience in a variety of settings, Andi brings to the City and County of Denver a passion for supporting Workplace Literacy at all levels of responsibility.  She believes firmly that it is through learning that we have the power to change how we view ourselves in relation to our environment.
 
Andi entered the City's workforce in 2005 as a trainer for Office of Economic Development and now facilitates a range of topics for CSA ranging from New Employee Orientation to Business Writing.  She has served as an adjunct faculty member for Community College of Denver and trained for IBM, Microsemi Corporation, University of Arizona, Arapahoe/Douglas Mental Health Network, Mile High Montessori Early Learning Centers, and Catholic Charities of Denver.  She holds a Masters in Social Work and a B.A. in Psycholinguistics.
 


Rika Mead

Rika came to work in the public sector in September 1998 after having her own change management consulting firm.  In her private consulting practice, Rika did organization design and development, executive coaching and leadership evolution, process improvement, team building, needs analysis, professional facilitation, strategic planning and coalition creation. 
She has worked in a variety of industries, including financial services and the entertainment field.  Prior to joining the City, she completed several public sector projects on the federal level, as well as many private sector ventures. 

Rika is certified to deliver Profilor's 360-degree assessment instrument, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Performance Consulting, McNellis Compression Planning and Enlightened Leadership workshops.
 
Ms. Mead holds a Masters degree in Leadership & Organizational Change from Regis University, with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration.  She does public presentations on a variety of professional and personal growth topics.
 


Christopher C. Weimer
Director
Office of Employee Assistance
 

Chris spent the early part of his life in Pennsylvania, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Psychology.  He relocated to the West for his health in 1980 and has been here ever since.  He earned his M.B.A. in Management in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Chris has been in the Mental Health Industry for almost 30 years, as both a counselor and administrator.  He is experienced in all levels of care and most client populations.

For the last 12 years, Mr. Weimer has directed the Mayor's Office of Employee Assistance for Denver.   In this capacity, he serves as Workplace Violence Specialist, Critical Incident Management Coordinator, Management Consultant and Behavioral Trainer.  Chris taught Business Ethics for Webster University, as an Adjunct Professor, and has served on the Denver Board of Ethics from 2001 to 2005. 
 
The Office of Employee Assistance now includes a support group for employees struggling with cancer, and a nonprofit financial aid program created to assist city employees with dire financial crises.  Very recently, The Office of Employee Assistance was the 2006 recipient of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association international award for excellence and innovation. 
 


Eileen Stamm
Agency Trainer

Eileen is a trainer and program developer with the Office of Employee Assistance; a recipient of the EAP International Quality Award for EAP excellence.  Since Eileen's tenure, the agency has developed a cancer support program for employees struggling with cancer.  In addition, the agency is in the fourth year of its non-profit financial aid program for City employees in financial crisis.

Eileen has over 10 years in training design and facilitation in a variety of business settings within the City and County of Denver.  Eileen has over 14 years of supervisory experience and is considered a behaviorist.  She is passionate about discovering what makes people more productive using training as a tool to improve their effectiveness in planning and implementing change. 
 
Mrs. Stamm's training expertise is in the areas of customer service, communications, team building, leadership, aggressive behavior, stress management, critical incident stress management, and her latest endeavor, workplace bullying.  Eileen is considered a subject matter expert in the area of workplace bullying with over eight years of research.  She brings to her presentations extensive knowledge and a wealth of experience on the subject. She has both the presentation skills and the personal attributes to effectively impart this knowledge as well as motivate her audiences.
 
Eileen is a dynamic, articulate speaker who presents highly valuable information. Eileen's sense of humor, genuineness, and passion make it a joy to attend her presentations.
 


Marion Lujan

Marion has over 20 years experience in human resource development, training and career development.  As a career development facilitator, she has generated impressive accomplishments across a number of human resource initiatives and most recently spearheaded some strategic initiatives in career development. 
 
Marion excels at opportunities where she can position the benefits of working in the City and County of Denver, by building credibility and value in their offering and leveraging resources to increase perceived customer value thereby creating competitive advantage. She enjoys taking charge of an opportunity.  She is both a strategic thinker and someone that can assess a situation, identify key issues and priorities, and develop actionable tactical plans to move them to a successful result. 
 
Mrs. Lujan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Organization Development from Regis University, Human Resource Certificate from University of Phoenix, Certified Career Development Facilitator from Community College of Denver and Certified in the Strong Interest Inventory previously known as Strong/Campbell career assessment.  She is a highly energetic and competent business professional who quickly adapts to meet new business challenges. She is highly customer-focused, an effective and engaging communicator, and an individual capable of making significant and continuing business contributions.  



Lynn Pollard

For the past three years, Lynn has worked closely with CSA/TOD to design and co-facilitate CSA's LEAD Program.  Lynn is President of Pollard Consulting, a management consulting firm specializing in strategic planning, leadership development, team building, and communications.
 
The former Director of the Rocky Mountain Program for Executives, Lynn works in both public and private sectors, providing facilitation, coaching and consulting to her clients. All her work is custom-designed to meet an organization's needs, whether facilitating business issues, coaching managers, designing training, or conducting team-building, strategic planning sessions, or leadership development programs.
 
Lynn works with organizations, teams and/or individuals in determining direction, courses of action and interventions to produce the desired result. She assists in building strategies by focusing on the core strengths of the client and leveraging those strengths for success. Her goal in all aspects of her work is to assist individuals, teams and organizations in improving productivity and quality of service. Her style is engaging, humorous and challenging. Producing results is her bottom line.

Ms. Pollard holds an M.A. in Social Work, Focus on Conflict, Communication and Family Systems from Syracuse University; ABD Ph.D. Adult Education and Organizational Development, Temple University; certifications in Diversity Assessment & Intervention and Masterful Facilitation through the Equity Institute, and Appreciative Inquiry Practitioner training, Taos Institute.  
 


Heidi S. Brinkman, PhD

Dr. Heidi Brinkman has worked closely with CSA/TOD to design and co-facilitate CSA's LEAD Program with Lynn Pollard.  Heidi is involved in academic and corporate research, training and development with subject matter expertise in management and communication. She received a B.A. in Communication from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a Ph.D. in Speech Communication, with an emphasis in organizational communication from the University of Denver. Heidi has been a corporate trainer and consultant for the past 12 years, and is also a lecturer/clinical professor for the Management Department in the Daniels College of Business at DU.

Dr. Brinkman has developed and conducted organizational workshops, and has given presentations and seminars on management and communication. Her specific subject areas include teambuilding, leadership, change management and conflict resolution. Heidi's trademark facilitation style is rooted in experiential learning.

Additionally, Dr. Brinkman has authored several journal articles, book chapters and conference papers on diversity and the influence of culture, gender and age on communication. She has co-authored a book chapter on conflict resolution.


Nita Mosby-Henry

Nita Mosby-Henry is an independent management consultant, nationally recognized for her work with healthcare and service delivery organizations.  In her practice, Nita provides a variety of consulting services including, strategic management, operational analysis and project planning, operations management, program development and assessment, human resource management, leadership training and enhancement.  She specializes in the development and delivery of leadership and operations effectiveness strategies, as well as diversity, cultural competency and inclusiveness training programs. 

As a faculty member in the School of Business Management at the University of Phoenix, Nita teaches graduate and undergraduate-level courses in Organizational Behavior, Leadership Practices, Managing the Business Enterprise, Critical Thinking and Decision-making, Management Theory and Application, Personnel Management, Financial Management, Technology and Outbound Call Centers, Call Center Expansion Strategies and Inbound Call Center Principles.  In addition to her work at the University of Phoenix, Ms. Mosby-Henry has also served as Dean of Education at CollegeAmerica-Denver.

Ms. Mosby-Henry has a vast, 21-year background in domestic and international operations management.  She has held roles as Course Administrator, Technical Writer and Call Center Manager for AT&T, Operations Analyst, Training Specialist and Operations Director for Kaiser Permanente in both Georgia and Colorado-regions and Director of Operations for the McKesson Corporation. 

In the community, Nita received appointments by former-Mayor Wellington Webb and current Mayor John Hickenlooper and is currently serving as co-chairperson on Denver's Career Service Authority Board.  She has also served as the Diversity Chairperson for the Human Rights Campaign at both local and national levels. 

Ms. Mosby-Henry is currently in her last year of doctoral studies in the field of Organizational Leadership and holds a Master of Arts degree in Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.
