Failure to pay child support may result in one or more of the following:
- driver's license suspension
- bank account seizure
- IRS and/or State Revenue tax intercept
- interception of lottery winnings
- negative credit reports
- garnishment of income
- loss of professional licenses
How is child support enforced if the non-custodial parent does not live in Colorado?
If the non-custodial parent's place of employment is known, the Denver County Child Support Enforcement Unit can immediately begin wage withholding. In more difficult cases, a request to assist with collection of child support will be sent to the other state.
