The Denver City Attorney’s Office strives to provide law students with internships that are not only intellectually challenging, but also relevant to their future as attorneys. Depending on which section of the City Attorney’s Office for which the intern works, the intern may have the opportunity to participate in contract negotiations, land acquisitions, prosecution and human services matters and litigation. Interns also receive direct feedback on their work from Assistant City Attorneys.
To apply for an internship in the Denver City Attorney’s Office, please contact the intern coordinator for the section that most interests you. The selection process is ongoing for spring, summer, and fall internships; positions are filled on a first come, first serve basis. Each section has different eligibility requirements, and some sections also accept undergraduate and paralegal students. All legal internships are unpaid, but students may arrange for academic credit with their respective schools. If you have specific questions, please contact the intern coordinators listed below.
