(Denver) – Foreclosure information will figure prominently in Denver Clerk and Recorder Debra Johnson’s upcoming public forum. The forum will be held in southwest Denver, one of the three Denver zip codes hardest hit by the foreclosure crisis of the last five years. The public forum will take place February 26, 2013, 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Southwest Improvement Council Building, 1000 So. Lowell Blvd., Denver.
The foreclosures portion of the meeting will feature information on how the City and County of Denver has compared with other areas with regard to the levels of foreclosures in recent years. Learn which neighborhoods have been most impacted by foreclosures, and how to find out about any foreclosure in the city. Maps will be available showing foreclosures across the city in 2007 (when foreclosures numbers were highest) and current foreclosures.
Clerk Johnson will also have a wrap-up on how the 2012 General Election compared to the 2008 General Election, including information on the record numbers of people in Denver who voted in Denver, in person, by mail, using the convenient drive-through drop-off lanes or new 24-hour secure boxes, and how many had to vote on a provisional ballot.
A foreclosure counselor and a city neighborhood inspector will be in attendance to answer audience questions, and a bilingual interpreter will be on hand.
The public is invited to come out to 1000 South Lowell on February 26 to meet your elected Clerk and Recorder and learn about Denver foreclosures and Clerk and Recorder services.
