The Denver Mayor’s Commission on Youth was created in 1972 and is established by Ordinance No. 319 Series of 2003, Section 2-145.B of the Denver Revised Municipal Code.  It was brought under the Mayor's Office for Education and Children April 21, 2003.

The mission of the Commission on Youth is to be a resource for positive youth development in the city, and an advocate for youth voice. Toward that end we house the Mayor's Youth Commission and the Metropolitan Mayors and Commissioners Youth Awards (MMCYA).  Please click on Related Links for more information.
