Councilwoman Peggy LehmannLocated in the southeast part of the city, District 4 is a varied community including a variety of the residential areas, small businesses and the northern part of the DTC, beautiful parks, fine Denver Public Schools, and, of course, great people. Living with Urban Coyotes
On October 15th Councilwoman Lehmann, the Mayor’s Office, and Denver’s Parks and Recreation Department (Natural Areas Program) hosted a neighborhood meeting at Holm Elementary School to discuss living with urban coyotes.  We had a great turn out and would like to thank all the neighbors for coming to the meeting. There was a very informative presentation about coyotes and their habitat by a panel of experts.

The panel was composed of three urban wildlife professionals: Ashley Delaup- Denver Parks & Recreation Wildlife Ecologist, Melanie Kaknes- Colorado Division of Wildlife, and Jack Murphy- Urban Wildlife Rescue.   If you have any urban wildlife questions, please feel free to contact Ashley DeLaup at 303-4550785 or email ashley.delaup@denvergov.org
