How do I know what sort of case is listed on my record?
The case number will indicate which division initiated the case, ie, traffic, criminal, etc. A list of file numbering conventions is available for your reference in the General Information and Announcements section of this website.

There is a record listed under my name which I don't think belongs there. What do I do?
You will need to contact the appropriate division, and ask a clerk for assistance. They will need the case number, your name, and other pertinent information to research your situation.

I can't find my record. Why not?
There could be many reasons. First, is your case a Denver County Court case? This website lists Denver County Court cases only. Secondly, is the case related to a juvenile? If so,it will not be available, as juvenile records are "sealed" (not accessible to the public). If your case has been formally "expunged" (purged), or "sealed," it will not be accessible. If the record you are looking for is from a date previous to when the court's case management system was implemented, your record will not be accessible online (see first FAQ question above). You will need to contact the specific division clerk for assistance.
