The DNA Unit conducts comparative analysis of molecular genetic and biological materials including blood, saliva, semen, skin tissue and hair root.
- The Trace Evidence Unit performs comparative analysis of inorganic substances including hair shafts, fibers, soils, paint, glass, explosive residue and gun shot residue.
- The Firearms Unit conducts test firing of weapons and perform examinations and comparisons of bullets recovered at crime scenes.
- The Crime Scene Investigations Unit handles evidence identification, collection and documentation at crime scenes.
- The Latent Prints Unit compares and analyzes fingerprint evidence recovered at crime scenes and also conducts tire and shoe print examinations.
