Erin Trapp
is the Director of the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs.  Prior to joining DOCA, she served as Deputy Director for the Western States Arts Federation, overseeing technology and research programs to strengthen the arts infrastructure in the Western United States.  Trapp also brings experience in corporate management at Merrill Lynch.  She currently serves on the boards of Arts for Colorado and the Clyfford Still Museum.  A graduate of Swarthmore College, Trapp holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Colorado-Boulder.  She lives in Denver with husband Patrick and daughter Stella.

Jan Brennan
is the Deputy Director at DOCA.  Prior to joining the staff, she was the Membership & Communications Director for Colorado Business Committee for the Arts (CBCA), promoting the arts as a tool for innovative and creative business success.  As Director of the Gill Foundation’s Gay & Lesbian Fund for Colorado, Brennan oversaw significant investments in Colorado’s art organizations and led the development of a national model promoting branded philanthropy.  She also brings experience in corporate and non-profit communications and advocacy, having held positions with Vote for America, Pikes Peak Broadcasting and The Gazette newspaper in Colorado Springs. Brennan currenlty serves on the board of the Physically Handicapped Actors and Musical Artists League (PHAMALy).

Avon Carey is DOCA's Staff Assistant. She brings 32 years of experience in the corporate sector, 19 of which were spent as an Executive Assistant providing support to high-level Directors and Vice Presidents. Carey's background also includes IT project coordination, training and staff management and supervision for quality control.

Rudi Cerri is a Public Art Administrator for DOCA. He was formerly a Curator and Exhibition Designer at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities. Cerri received his bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, with a major in Psychology. In addition, he studied Mannerist and High Renaissance art and architecture in Italy and attended the Graduate School of Architecture and Planning at the University of Colorado-Denver.

Pauline Herrera is the Communications & Marketing Director for DOCA. Prior to joining the staff, she acted as a consultant to the office managing Mayor Hickenlooper's inaugural One Book, One Denver program. Herrera previously served as the Director of Public Relations & Marketing at the Museo de las Américas (Museum of the Americas). She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, with a major in Psychology, and a master's degree in Nonprofit Management, with honors, from Regis University. Herrera is a graduate of Leadership Denver.  She currently serves as Chair of the board of the Young Philanthropists Foundation.  Herrera has been named one of the Colorado Statesman's "50 for the Future".  She is a member of the British Council's Transatlantic Network 2020.

PAULINE HERRERA
 
Brooke Jones is the Public Art Coordinator for DOCA working on public art bond projects. She comes to the office from San Jose, CA, where she was the Public Art Coordinator for five years. Jones managed the artist selection process and oversaw the conservation and maintenance program with the City of San Jose. A graduate of San Jose State University, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Art History. Jones spent two years studying art in Paris, France and has experience working in museum, gallery and auction house settings.
 

BROOKE JONES

Kendall Peterson
is a Public Art Administrator for DOCA. She comes to the office from Los Angeles, where she produced films for National Geographic and the Discovery Channel. In this capacity, Peterson worked closely with artists to complete work to exacting technical specifications on time and on budget. A graduate of Wellesley College, she holds a master’s degree from New York University in Modern Art & Architectural History.

KENDALL PETERSON

Gina Rubano is the Public Programming Coordinator for DOCA.  She coordinates the Mayor’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts5 Points Jazz, Latino Rhythms and One Book, One Denver.  Rubano comes to DOCA from The Laboratory of Art and Ideas at Belmar, where she coordinated educational programming.  She holds a bacherlor's degree in Technical Journalism from Colorado State University and will complete an additional bachelor's degree in Art History from the University of Colorado-Denver in the fall of 2008.

Kevin Scott is the Special Events & Film Liaison for DOCA. He formerly directed the Capitol Hill People’s Fair, PrideFest, the GLBT Center’s Film Festival and has assisted in the production of the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. Scott is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Design.  He currently serves on the board of the Colorado Festival and Events Association.

Mary Valdez is the Public Art Program Coordinator for DOCA. She manages the admistrative duties of the program, as well as a number of projects. Valdez has been with DOCA for 8 years. She currently is a student at the Community College of Denver  working toward a bachelor's degree in Fine Art.

Ginger White, AICP
 is the Senior Economic Development Specialist for DOCA, overseeing the Create Denver initiative. Prior to joining the staff, she acted as a consultant to the office managing the inaugural Doors Open Denver project. White previously served as the program and marketing manager for the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. She received her bachelor's degree from Xavier University, with a major in Political Science, and a master's degree in Urban Policy and Planning with an emphasis in economic development from the University of Illinois at Chicago. White is a graduate of the Downtown Denver Partnership's Leadership Program.  She currently serves on the boards of the Colorado Festival and Events Association, Physically Handicapped Actors and Musical Artists League (PHAMALY) and the Denver Theatre District.  White is a recipient of the City and County of Denver's 5281 Award.
