Hello and welcome to Denver 911.  I hope that you find the information on our website interesting and helpful. The website content was developed in collaboration with our employees, supervisors and the management of Denver 911.  

To say that 2008 has been a year of change for us is an understatement.  We completed the civilianization of our Leadership Team; achieved unparalleled success with our recruiting and staffing efforts; and have vastly improved our training program for new AND tenured employees.  We have initiated a number of public outreach programs; added redundancy to our critical infrastructure; and have developed new performance metrics that have improved our ability to measure and improve our level of customer service.

We worked collaboratively with our public safety partners since January, 2007 in the planning and execution of the interagency communications for the Democratic National Convention.  Our teams worked endlessly to help deliver a safe and successful convention experience for the citizens, attendees, delegates and first-responders.  I could not be more proud of the efforts of our line-level employees, the supervisory and training teams and the managers who handled every task, large and small, with apparent ease. And as a result of time spent with our partner agencies, we have improved our working relationships with the employees from neighboring 911 Centers.  We simply could not have been as successful without their experience and assistance.

Our employees are taking on new responsibilities and assuming leadership roles in the Center; I’m excited by the results we have experienced and am looking forward to 2009.  It is only by working together that we can bring premier service to the citizens of the City and County of Denver.
