Denver Department of Human Services: Partnering with our community to protect those in harm's way and help all people in need.

Denver Human Services helps and protects people of all ages. Our dedicated staff listen and advise, and help people apply for public assistance programs. We protect abused and neglected children and adults by making sure they live in safe environments and help both individuals and families in crisis. In addition, we help connect people to community services that can help them in a time of need.

Build a Better Denver & DDHS
DDHS facilities improved through 1B bond projects

The Better Denver 1B bonds will fund millions of dollars in essential maintenance and new building to improve human services facilities. Low-income child care facilities will have their heating, plumbing, and electrical systems updated. A new east side Human Services facility will be built to better serve the needs of veterans, people having trouble with their heating bills, and people who need food stamps. Visit the Building a Better Denver web site for more information.
