Dear Members of the Film Community:
Since the first films were shot in Colorado in 1897, the City and County of Denver has been supportive of local and out-of-state film projects and commercial productions. We are proud to host legendary film and television productions including Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969), Perry Mason (1988-1995), Dynasty (1981), About Schmidt (2002) and Nowhereland (2007) as well as local independent productions such as Skills Like This (2006) and Juncture (2007). We look forward to adding your project to our list of Denver film productions!
Denver is home to great weather, beautiful parks, magnificent historic buildings and unique neighborhood streetscapes, all of which make it a filmmaker’s dream. We are also fortunate to have a community that values demonstrating to local and visiting film productions Denver’s “film-friendly” attitude. For over 30 years Denver has been home to the Starz Film Festival, providing Denver and the broader cinema community with unforgettable films and memories.
The Denver Office of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with its sister agencies, looks forward to working with you and accommodating the needs of your production in order to make filming in the City and County of Denver as seamless as possible. We look forward to showing you that Denver is a great place to film and a great place to do business.
Sincerely,
John W. Hickenlooper
Mayor
