The City and County of Denver Department of Community Planning and Development in conjunction with our partners, including Public Works, and the Office of Economic Development, RTD and others, is conducting a major planning initiative to facilitate appropriate transit oriented development near current and future station locations. The planning process will identify a vision and strategies to direct appropriate change at these station areas and utilize the transit investment as a catalyst to enrich and enhance Denver’s neighborhoods.
This web site provides information about the current planning processes and transit oriented development.
Denver TOD Strategic Plan
The Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Strategic Plan (pdf 7MB) is a guide for prioritizing the planning and implementation activities of the City and County of Denver related to transit planning and transit-oriented development. City Council, Planning Board, departmental management, staff, and others will use it to:
- Set priorities for where City resources should be directed in the short, mid and long-terms;
- Identify effective implementation tools, policies and strategies to facilitate transit oriented development where appropriate; and
- Ensure close coordination among City departments, staff and others as they undertake planning and implementation activities related to transit and transit-oriented development.
The TOD Strategic Plan recommends a "typology" for each transit station in Denver. LEARN MORE...
