It is an honor for me to represent District 3 on the Denver City Council. During my short time in office, I have heard from many of you regarding concerns and visions for our district and I am certain that together we will make our neighborhoods a better place to work, live and raise our families. We are busy working on many of the issues that we heard while walking door to door during the campaign.
Community Outreach
We worked very hard to work with the Neighborhood associations to find a solution to the Excel/View Plane conflict that we inherited as soon as we were in office, but which had been in the works for years.
We have been meeting with various agencies to bring
affordable housing and economic development to our community.
We are planning the
District 3 Neighborhood Congress and working on our first quarterly newsletter.
Our office is committed to supporting and helping find resources to the Sandos family for the annual
Sam Sandos Christmas Baskets distribution to feed families in need.
Finally, I would like to thank all of you who work to keep your block or your neighborhood clean and informed. There are so many of you that care and have come forward to cleanup graffiti, to call NIS with nuisance yards, and to report crime and other violations. We could not do our work without all of your help and support. We welcome your comments and ideas about the needs of our neighborhoods as well as the successes. Together we will make District 3 a safer, beautiful and vibrant place that we are all proud to call home.
