Councilwoman Peggy Lehmann
Welcome to City Council District 4.
Councilwoman Peggy LehmannLocated in the southeast part of the city, District 4 is a varied community including a variety of the residential areas, small businesses and the northern part of the DTC, beautiful parks, fine Denver Public Schools, and, of course, great people. I am enjoying the challenge and experience of serving as your Councilwoman.

The District 4 office is located at 3540 S. Poplar St., Suite 102, Denver, CO  80237. It is east of Monaco, on the east side of Southmoor Park. Our office hours are 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. We invite you to visit our office. Please call first, 303-504-5781, to be sure that we are here.  You can also contact me through email at peggy.lehmann@denvergov.org.

My staff includes two well qualified aides, Diane Young and Sunni Rodgers. Diane is a 28 year resident of Southmoor Park and served as the Executive Director of the Colorado League of Women Voters for several years. Sunni is a Denver resident who was born and raised in District 4. Sunni studied at DePauw University in Indiana, and after college she went to Ghana with the Peace Corps. Diane and Sunni bring a diverse range of knowledge and experience to their positions and are well prepared to address your concerns.

As of July 2004, I was appointed to serve as Chair of the Council’s Public Amenities Committee. The Public Amenities Committee covers the Department of Parks and Recreation, Museums, Arts, Botanic Gardens, Zoo, Library, Library, Performing Arts, Theatres and Arenas, the National Western Stock Show and Winter Park.

My other committee assignments are:
Bond Implementation, Vice Chair
Finance
Greenprint
Public Works

I am also a member of the City-School Coordinating committee, Greenprint Denver Council, Strategic Transportation Plan Task Force, the South I-25 Urban Corridor committee, and serve on the board of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District.

We communicate with our constituents by hosting town meetings, sending out a monthly e-mail newsletter, and an annual newsletter by mail. If you would like to be on our mailing list please contact us with your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address.

Please contact us with your concerns by phone, mail or e-mail. We will do our best to respond to you promptly. As a courtesy to you, the city legal staff has advised city council members to alert people that letters and e-mails to elected officials are open records under the Colorado Open Records Act. Therefore, all correspondence must be made available to anyone making a request.

We look forward to meeting you in the near future.
