The objective of the Electronic Monitoring Program is "To promote public safety by utilizing various technologies and supervision strategies to effectively monitor and supervise offenders."
The Electronic Monitoring Program is a diverse, dynamic and dedicated agency providing safety to the community while reducing jail population and providing a significant cost-savings for the City and County of Denver. This has been accomplished through an offender pay program which uses technologies as tools to assist probation officers in supervision of offenders and defendants ordered to electronic monitoring.
The Program is a division of Community Corrections under the City and County of Denver's Manager of Safety and its authority comes from the Denver Revised Municipal Code as authorized by City Council.
