Mayor John W. Hickenlooper, the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs and the Denver Commission on Cultural Affairs continue the annual tradition of the Mayor’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts. The awards recognize individuals and organizations that have made significant and lasting contributions to the arts in the City and County of Denver.
Nominations may be for:
• Individual artists, other individuals or collaboratives
• Educators and educational institutions
• Service and/or support to the arts
Note: Self-nominations are welcome.
Nominating is easy! It takes only three simple steps:
• Description of the nominee’s projects, activities or service, including when these efforts took place. (May submit up to two pages)
• Statement as to why the nominee’s contribution to the arts is
significant and lasting. (May submit up to one page)
• Supplemental materials – letters, brochures, etc. (May submit up to four pieces)
