Adult Employment Opportunities: The Denver Office of Economic Development (OED) recently issued a comprehensive program overview of the stimulus funded Workforce Programs to understand the impact of full-time job placements in the Denver metropolitan area in terms of increased jobs, earnings and sales. OED-Workforce Development forecasts a maximum return on public investmsnt by the end of 2011 of:
- $7.68 impact on earnings for each stimulus dollar invested
- $19.79 impact on sales for each stimulus dollar invested
Resulting from the impact of OED-Workforce Development’s stimulus funding, there will be an over $27 million one-time, but sustainable, effect on earnings impact generated by regional workers by the end of 2011. In addition, there will also be an over $71 million one-time , but sustainable, effect on sales impact generated by regional businesses by the end of 2011.
