Denver deploys “Parking Angels” to give away free parking through December 31st

DENVER, CO ­— November 21, 2012 – Beginning Friday, November 23, Denver Public Works Right Of Way Enforcement Agents will be giving the gift of FREE PARKING !

In addition to patrolling parking throughout the City, Agents will be giving away $5.00 ParkSmart Denver parking cards to random drivers parking at Denver’s Smart Meters. In total, these Parking Angels will be giving away $500 in free parking through the end of the year.

 When giving away the ParkSmart Denver cards, Agents, or Parking Angels, will ask recipients to pose for a photo with the card and their vehicle parked at a SmartMeter. Photos will be posted on Twitter @DenPublicWorks and on Facebook. Be on the lookout for a very special Parking Angel giving away several ParkSmart Denver cards downtown on Small Business Saturday!

Remember, ParkSmart Denver cards are the perfect gift for everyone on your gift list this holiday season!  Everyone loves FREE PARKING!

ParkSmart Denver Cards make parking at Denver’s Smart Meters even easier. The pre-loaded, credit card sized plastic cards can be used at any of the 6,000 Smart Meters throughout the City.

Gift givers can purchase the cards in $5, $15, $25, $50 and $100 increments. There are no additional charges or fees when purchasing a ParkSmart Denver card – simply pay the face value of the card.

ParkSmart Denver cards can be purchased with cash, check, Visa or MasterCard, at the following locations:

  • Wellington Webb Building, 201 West Colfax Avenue,  First Floor Cashier Counter
