20 Cats from Wyoming Hoarding Case up for Adoption at Denver Animal Shelter

Denver- In February, Denver Animal Shelter received twenty cats rescued from a hoarder situation in Wyoming.  Fifteen of the twenty cats will go up for adoption Saturday, March 30, and the other five will go to a rescue to seek further medical treatment.

In September, 2012, more than 200 cats were rescued from the hoarder, but only about 80 were healthy enough to go up for adoption.  A fourth of the adoptable cats were transferred to Denver Animal Shelter where they received a thorough evaluation before being approved for adoption.

Adoption fees are being reduced to $50 of any of the Wyoming cats, because some of them have minor medical issues, such as upper respiratory infections.
