Denver Safe City Changes Its Name

New Name, Same Great Youth Programs!

DENVER, CO – The Department of Public Safety is pleased to announce the Denver Safe City Office has changed its name to Denver Public Safety Youth Programs.

Denver Public Safety Youth Programs promote positive youth diversion and intervention programs, and its new identity will more effectively communicate that mission to the community.

By serving thousands of youth and families each year through a variety of prevention and intervention services, Denver Public Safety Youth Programs help reduce crime and violence by engaging at-risk youth in alternative programs that reduce repeat offenses.

Programs include youth leadership peer training and development, attendance mediation workshops, voluntary diversion and prevention, municipal diversion, juvenile municipal probation, and truancy court diversion. In addition, Denver Public Safety Youth Programs host and support a variety of community events to establish and nurture an ongoing youth partnership with the community.
