Denver's Election Process
&
DURA's 50th Anniversary

Watch this month's Issues & Options
A very important election in U.S. history means high voter interest. How will Denver handle the high volume of voters? Stephanie O’Malley, Denver’s Clerk and Recorder, and Michael Scarpello, Director of Elections join host Tamara Banks to discuss Denver’s Election Process.
Also, the Denver Urban Renewal Authority (DURA) celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year. DURA is responsible for conducting urban revitalization activities throughout the City and County of Denver. Under state law, DURA is charged with assisting the city in eliminating and preventing slums and blighted areas. To carry out this mandate, DURA – in the role of “civic entrepreneur” – uses creative redevelopment and housing rehabilitation to revitalize Denver’s neighborhoods. DURA works in collaboration with elected officials, city administrators, private developers and financing sources, as well as the community. Tracy Huggins, Executive Director of DURA, also guests on the show.
