Denver Animal Shelter announces Spay/Neuter Program

The Denver Animal Shelter (DAS) is offering public spay and neuter program for dogs and cats.

Spay (Female) Fee:      Cat      - $40**           Dog    - $60**

Neuter (Male) Fee:        Cat      - $25**         Dog    - $50**

Spaying and neutering your pet not only helps prevent pet overpopulation, but has the added benefit of improving your pet’s health and behavior.  According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), spayed or neutered pets live longer and tend to have fewer behavioral problems than unaltered pets.

To schedule an appointment, call 720-913-1311.  A 311 agent will take your information for an animal shelter representative to contact you.

Pets must be at least 12 weeks of age and have a current distemper/parvo vaccination.  If your pet does not have a current vaccination, the Denver Animal Shelter hosts weekly rabies vaccination clinics at the shelter.
