District Attorney Bad Check Restitution Program
Denver District Attorney Mitchell R. Morrissey is concerned about the impact of bad checks on local businesses. He understands the narrow margin that many small businesses operate within and the substantial loss that comes from bad checks.In cooperation with other Judicial Districts in Colorado, the Denver District Attorney's Office now offers the Bad Check Restitution Program.
This unique and effective program combines public and private sector resources to track down bad-check writers and hold them accountable for restitution while not overwhelming the criminal justice system.
And, the entire program is paid for by the bad-check writers -- not a dime comes from taxpayers!
