On Friday, November 27, most City and County offices will also be closed as Employees are taking a furlough day to help the City create budget savings during these challenging economic times. Denver Human Services receives Progress Report on 3rd Party Review
Denver Human Services has received a progress report from the Annie E. Casey Foundation assessing the department’s progress  the 2007 Third-Party Review requested by the agency. The Review Team found the department has made “significant progress” on several of the recommendations.

2009 Mayor’s Design Awards Announced
Mayor John Hickenlooper celebrated the growing number of Denver’s homeowners, small business owners and developers who have made design excellence a priority in their community at the fifth annual Mayor's Design Awards. The program honored 15 diverse projects that enhance the city.

Denver 3-1-1 Business Hours Change
Denver 3-1-1 has new hours of operation!    
New hours are:
  • Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sunday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Groundbreaking for New Park
Aug. 20 - Parkfield Lake Park, located at the intersection of Chambers Road and 53th Avenue, will serve over 50,000 residents from these northeast Denver communities and will complement the Montbello Recreation Center on site.
