On Friday, November 27, most City and County offices will also be closed as Employees are taking a furlough day to help the City create budget savings during these challenging economic times. Casey Foundation assessing the department’s progress  the 2007 Third-Party Review requested by the agency. The Review Team found the department has made “significant progress” on several of the recommendations. 2009 Mayor’s Design Awards Announced Mayor John Hickenlooper celebrated the growing number of Denver’s homeowners, small business owners and developers who have made design excellence a priority in their community at the fifth annual Mayor's Design Awards.
