Non-Profits Can Raise Cash as Poll Workers
In an innovative effort to meet the need for Election Day poll workers, nonprofit organizations can organize their volunteers to work the polls and donate their fees as a fund-raiser for the organization.

Denver Parks and Recreation's newly remodeled Aqua Golf complex offers two 18-hole miniature golf courses, 25 station lighted water range and a clubhouse.  Open Mon-Thurs,, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. & Fri.-Sun., 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. (weather permitting).

Energy Assistance Heating Fair
The Denver Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) is hosting a 3 day Heating Fair.  Families needing help paying for heat this winter can sign up for the program and learn ways to lower heating bills. 

Insulation Rebates for Homeowners
Rebates are being offered to Denver homeowners interested in having their homes properly insulated and sealed. In addition to cash back, energy bills could go down by as much as 30 percent.

Greening Up Greater Park Hill
You can volunteer to help plant 500 trees along streets in the Greater Park Hill neighborhood the week of October 20 - 25.  It's a joint effort of Tree by Tree- the Million Tree Inititative and the Park People to add to the urban canopy.
