Top Headlines Sunday, November 08, 2009 | 53.0° Mostly Cloudy UNDERAGE DRINKING ENFORCEMENT Denver businesses caught selling alcohol to minors   The Denver Police Department recently cited eight Denver businesses caught selling alcohol to a minor.  Fifteen establishments were ordered to appear before the Excise and License Bureau for license review.  The department’s Alcohol Enforcement Team conducted an age compliance operation February 15th, during which 27 bars, four liquor stores and one gas station were visited.      A release from the Denver Police Department says law enforcement officials were encouraged that the majority of establishments followed proper protocols, asking for I.D.’s and turning away minors who were trying to purchase alcohol.  They say that by doing so the businesses support efforts to curtail underage drinking.   Free Tax Preparation For Families Earning Less than $40,000   The Denver Asset Building Coalition (DABC) will help hard-working low-income families with their tax return preparation.
