GOCO Grant Awarded For Trail
Improvements Along Cherry Creek In Denver
 
Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) has awarded a grant of $725,000 for trail improvements along the section of the Cherry Creek Greenway between Cook Park  to Garland Park.  This long-anticipated enhancement will construct a concrete bicycle-pedestrian trail along the only remaining “non-channel” section of the Cherry Creek Greenway and will eliminate six “at grade crossings”.

 In the spirit of Earth Day, Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper announced the Take Five Environmental Pledge. The Take Five Pledge includes five simple steps Denver residents can take for a better environment.
 
“The choices we make in our daily lives can have a huge impact on our use of resources as individuals and as a community,” said Hickenlooper.
