This assistance can can help them get tax refunds and is one effort that can help lift Denver's low-income families out of poverty.

Hickenlooper Appoints Deputy Chief Of Staff And Deputy Chief Operating Officer
 
Denver City HallMayor John Hickenlooper announced Friday his appointment of Amy Mueller to the position of deputy chief of staff and the appointment of LaCharles Keesee II as deputy chief operating officer, both beginning on January 2, 2007.
 
 “These appointments add outstanding strategic planning, management, operational and financial experience to our team that will serve Denver citizens and City employees extremely well,” Hickenlooper said. “We look forward to the ideas and energy they will bring to our initiatives.”
Mayor Names New City Attorney
Judge Lawrence Manzanares will assume his new post on January 9, 2007.
 
Mayor John Hickenlooper announced Thursday, November 30, 2006 his appointment of Denver District Court Judge Lawrence Manzanares to the position of City Attorney.
