Help Make Season Bright
Spreading holiday cheer is what the Denver Human Services (DHS) Giving Program hopes to bring to over 5,000 developmentally delayed adults, disadvantaged seniors, teenagers, youngsters and families this season.
 
“With the economy the way it is, we are seeing a decrease in donations and a rise in people who need help,” says Chrisanne Wilhelmi, Volunteer Program Manager at Denver Human Services.

Denver honors 150 ‘unsung heroes’ on sesquicentennial

In celebration of its 150th birthday, the City and County of Denver has selected 150 of its citizens to honor as “unsung heroes” – ordinary people who have done extraordinary things to help make Denver a better city for this and future generations. And lists 150 Wonderful Things About Denver.

 7th Annual Four Mile Fling
7th Annual Four Mile Fling

Four Mile Historic Park’s annual fund-raiser is Sunday, September 14th from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.  The event includes dinner, a silent auction and games.  Tickets are available individually or by tables for groups of 10.  Special pricing is available for people under 35 years.  Call 720-865-0813 or email Mackenzie@fourmilepark.org for more information.
