Thursday, Nov. 26 - City and County of Denver offices will be closed for the day in observance of Thanksgiving Day. On Friday, November 27, most City and County offices will aslo be closed as Employees are taking a furlough day to help the City create budget savings during these challenging economic times. Top Headlines Monday, November 23, 2009 | 34.0° Mostly Cloudy Denver Residents Choose One Book, One Denver Selection Votes to Read Harper Lee's - To Kill A Mockingbird   Mayor John Hickenlooper announced the result of the citizen vote on the 2009 One Book, One Denver selection. To Kill A Mockingbird is the winner, claiming the largest percentage of online citizen votes from among 27 books. This year, DOCA recieved a grant to combine One Book, One Denver with the NEA’s Big Read. Denver Assists Market with Growth Denver officials celebrated the opening of Tony’s Market, a new specialty foods business located at 950 Broadway. Tony’s Market operates three gourmet food markets in the south metro area.
