Thursday, Nov. 26 - City and County of Denver offices will be closed for the day in observance of Thanksgiving Day. On Friday, November 27, most City and County offices will also be closed as Employees are taking a furlough day to help the City create budget savings during these challenging economic times. Top Headlines Wednesday, November 25, 2009 | 38.0° Partly Cloudy Denver Opens New Workforce Training Center  New Flagship Training Center Benefits Job Seekers and Employers   To further assist job seekers with the skills and training needed to succeed in today’s workforce, the Denver Office of Economic Development proudly opens a new flagship training center at 1391 N. Speer Blvd., Suite 510. The new center is the largest training facility offered through Denver’s system of five workforce development and training centers. Equipped with three classrooms and a lab area, the center is projected to serve approximately 500 residents monthly. All classes are available for free to Denver residents.
