On Friday, November 27, most City and County offices will aslo be closed as Employees are taking a furlough day to help the City create budget savings during these challenging economic times. DENVER'S WINTER PARK STARTS NEW YOUTH SKI CLUB
Denver Parks and Recreation Partners with Winter Park Resort
 - 1000 tickets available for Denver nonprofits and schools to bring winter sports to urban youth
 
Program will will help establish ski clubs for Denver nonprofits or schools. “Our goal in creating this program was to provide urban youth an opportunity to experience the joy of skiing and snowboarding in the Colorado Rockies,” said Denver Parks and Recreation Manager Kim Bailey. “This program is designed to build lifelong interest in winter snow sports among Denver’s urban youth.”

Council Matters Issues Program Gains National Recognition
 
Denver City Council’s issues roundtable program “Council Matters” recorded a perfect score and took top place, an engaging training video “Democracy for All” designed for Election Judges and coverage of City Council meetings lead a stellar night for the City's Denver 8 TV in a national competition sponsored by the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA).
