On Friday, November 27, most City and County offices will aslo be closed as Employees are taking a furlough day to help the City create budget savings during these challenging economic times. Denver Selected as a Solar America City
Award Recognizes Denver’s Commitment, Comprehensive Approach
 
The United States Department of Energy will provide up to $2.4 million to 12 selected cities. Denver was chosen for its commitment and comprehensive approach to the deployment of solar technologies and the development of sustainable solar infrastructures.     “It  is a great honor for Denver,” Mayor Hickenlooper said, “it affirms all we have accomplished under our Greenprint Denver action agenda, and it provides funding for us to accomplish even more".
Seasonal Street Sweeping Begins

Denver Public Works needs your help to keep Denver clean! Citywide seasonal street sweeping has begun.  This year a new free reminder service is available. Check the red and white signs posted on your block for street sweeping parking restrictions.   Select the street sweeper picture or MyMotorMaid.com to register.
