The City and County of Denver’s Office of Economic Development will report on the 2013 accomplishments of its Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs at a public meeting on Monday, March 17, from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Wellington Webb Building, 201 W. Colfax Ave., Room 4.F.6.
The report, officially known as the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER), provides details on the effectiveness of housing, economic development, public service and neighborhood facilities programs funded by the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Home Investment Partnerships (HOME), Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) and Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) programs.
The draft CAPER document will be available for a 15-day public comment period beginning March 7, 2014 at www.denvergov.org/oed.
HUD’s goals are to provide decent housing, provide a suitable living environment and expand economic opportunities. Principal beneficiaries are extremely low to middle-income residents.
Sign language interpretation and Spanish translation can be provided with five business days’ notice. For more information, contact Monique Johnson at 720-913-1549. Final copies of the CAPER document will be available at www.denvergov.org/oed in May.
