Building upon Denver Moves Everyone 2050 - a citywide transportation plan aimed at moving everyone equitably, safely and sustainably - DOTI announced two new transportation policies, one emphasizing DOTI's role to realize mode-shift(PDF, 309KB) and another solidifying DOTI's commitment to prioritizing people(PDF, 321KB) over personal vehicles on city streets.

Travel Advisory from DOTI

The City and County of Denver is continuing its work to improve stormwater management systems on Denver’s east side where much of the existing stormwater infrastructure dates to the 1930‘s and is undersized to meet drainage needs. Next week, this work to upsize stormwater drainage pipes to mitigate persistent flooding issues during storm events moves to East 13th Avenue.

Denver Celebrates Completed Broadway Multimodal Improvements

Today, representatives of the City and County of Denver, Colorado Department of Transportation and the city’s bicycling and business communities celebrated completion of multimodal improvements on Broadway from 7th to Center avenues that increase safety for pedestrians and provide dedicated space for people to bike and scooter along the corridor.

Community Ride to Celebrate Safety and Travel Improvements on Broadway

Representatives of the City and County of Denver and Broadway Merchants Association will join bike enthusiasts and advocates for safer streets in Denver for a community bike ride on Broadway’s new two-way protected bikeway and a day of celebration and deals from participating businesses on the corridor.
