WHY VOTE?

As a citizen of the United States of America, and of Denver, and as a qualified elector, you have the right to vote in elections conducted by the Elections Division of the City and County of Denver Clerk and Recorders Office.

The one-person-one-vote concept is the cornerstone of democracy. Your vote is your access to the democratic process and allows you to represent yourself in the local, state, and federal government under which you live, work, and play. Your participation in the Elections Division elections is your opportunity to vote not just on local issues but at all other levels of your governance as well.

Each vote counts, and each vote is significant. Many races are decided by margins of few votes. More fundamentally, each tally is comprised of each constituent vote. That is, they all contribute and contribute equally to the resultant outcome. No vote is any less important than any other. The causes in which you believe cannot be assured their full support or support adequate for success without your vote.

The Elections Division encourages you to exercise your constitutional right to vote.
